Wow, if only Mozart had had one of these when he was a kid, his repertoire might have been rather different! The Keromin is part frog puppet, part digital instrument. You "play" the frog by opening up its mouth and varying the pitch produced, plus you can also adjust the rhythm and volume of the electronic sounds.

Keromin Digital Frog Puppet

There are two versions, the smaller Kokeromin ("baby Keromin") or the full Keromin "parent" model. The former is the simpler one-hand version ideal for novices who just want some fun. The more advanced Keromin has a greater variety of tones (16 rather than 12), and a wider range of octaves, plus its audio output in general is larger.

We think this is a great way to teach younger wannabe musicians about sound, as well as just being a super fun communication tool for children. You can even adjust the Keromin to make one fixed sound and then have a whole chorus line of different frog puppets playing together!
